The upcoming "Super Mario Bros. The Movie" is coming to theaters this April 2023, right in time for Easter, but for people that are way over cinemas and movie theaters, do not worry as it is also coming to streaming platforms.
This includes the likes of Netflix and NBCUniversal's Peacock.
And while it is indeed coming to Netflix by next year, users of the streaming app would have to wait further than expected as it aims to give way for the theater and Peacock before it arrives on the media giant.
Waiting for the "Super Mario Bros. The Movie?" Here is a prediction of when it would arrive on Netflix.
'Super Mario Bros. The Movie' is Coming to Netflix, But When?
Netflix and Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) have an extended streaming rights deal for the famous platform for its different shows, particularly with DreamWorks and Illumination films.
This also covers the future feature film of Illumination and Nintendo, "Super Mario Bros. The Movie," coming to Netflix sometime soon.
According to ComicBook Gaming, the movie will premiere in theaters by April, but it will first arrive exclusively on Peacock by June 2023. The streaming platform has four months of exclusive streaming rights to the game, given that it is under the NBCUniversal and Comcast group of companies.
This means that the earliest possible date for its arrival on Netflix is by October 2023, which will be available on the platform for 10 months.

Timeline of 'Super Mario Bros. The Movie's Streaming
Peacock will also have to wait for its theater screening timeline to finish before it arrives on the platform by June 2023, two months after its release. After which, it gets four months on Peacock, with an unknown duration on the platform.
After its exclusive streaming window elapsed, Netflix will get a chance to feature the "Super Mario" movie on its platform in the latter part of 2023.
Nintendo's 'Super Mario Bros.'
One of the most famous game franchises in the world is Nintendo's "Super Mario Bros." featuring the plumber's iconic adventures in the Mushroom World, and other settings in the franchise. Since then, fans have been waiting for its further media adaptation like movies and series, which the early 90s did but did not get the fame like its games.
The many iterations of the Mario games center on the likes of an action racing game called "Mario Kart," "Super Smash Bros.," puzzle and mini-adventure titles like "Paper Mario," and more. Now, its latest focus aside from its further development of games is the "Super Mario Bros. The Movie" that features Chris Pratt voice the hero of the series.
In the nearing days towards the end of 2022 and the start of the new year, one of the most anticipated flicks coming is the "Super Mario" movie from Nintendo and Illumination. However, since the pandemic, not all are ecstatic to watch in movie theaters to avoid possibly catching COVID.
With streaming options like Netflix, it offers a sure way to experience the movie even at home or in time for a rewatch.
