Google is offering a freebie service in one of its devices, the Nest Hub 2nd Generation, available to use without a subscription, and it is the Sleep Sensing feature accessible on the platform. With this Google freebie, users may continue to use it without a price and get its premium features that aim to deliver sleep-tracking capabilities for free through 2023.
Google Freebie: Nest Hub's Sleep Sensing Free Through 2023
Google Store's product page for the Nest Hub 2nd Gen, which talks about the Sleep Sensing feature, provided an update that claims it will be available for "free through 2023" for all users.
This means that the feature will get another year as an unpaid service, and it will be available for all who own the smart display.
The Santa Monica-based company announced last year that it will soon be a paid service, but there were no updates regarding its subscription priced at $9.99 per month, or $79.99 per year.
Google previously announced that it will be a freebie this 2022 back in November 2021, and this was the next announcement regarding its market pricing.

Nest Hub's Preview Feature for Sleep Sensing
According to Google's Support page, this feature remains under a preview version, which means that users are given the chance to test this for now.
As a preview feature, users may access its full range of features available for all that own the device, including its personalized insights, tips, and help give data on one's sleep direct to one's phone.
The company also claimed that by 2024, it will integrate the feature with Fitbit Premium with the same pricing found above, adding more data from the smartwatch for its sleep-tracking features.
Google and the Nest Hub
The famous internet company's take on the Nest Hub is its top-rated home features that deliver a control center for different functions and provide centralized control for connected devices.
So far, it has two versions of the Nest Hub, with the first-generation seeing its release in 2018, followed by an update from the company for its 2nd-generation in 2021.
One of the most useful features here is its Air Quality index which offers it for display on the home device, with its data highly accessible for all users.
In terms of home-based tablets that center as a hub for controlling different house techs, it also features access to different apps that helps one's usage of the device. Nest Hub (2nd Gen) delivers a karaoke-like feature for users as it delivers a real-time lyrics display via Spotify, to help one jam with different tunes while doing different chores with the smart display.
Google is allegedly developing a new smart device for the home, and it will no longer be under the Nest Hub lineup, but under the Pixel branding of the company.
But for now, those who own the Nest Hub 2nd Gen or people planning to buy one, the Sleep Sensing feature is available to access for free with a one-year extension this 2023.
