Samsung's foldable display laptop might see the light of day in 2023, sporting a massive OLED display once the phone maker releases it next year.
Given that, it looks like the South Korean tech giant is now gearing up to enter another foldable market starting next year.
Samsung has been offering foldable devices, but it has been limited to phones, namely the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4. And a new addition might debut in the coming year.
Samsung Foldable Display Laptop Might Release Next Year
According to a recent report by Notebook Check, Samsung now plans to release its first-ever laptop that sports a foldable screen in 2023.
The foldable display laptop is reportedly debuting under Samsung Electronics next year. Meanwhile, Samsung Display, a subsidiary of the South Korean tech giant, will be offering a massive folding screen.
The news outlet notes that the first foldable display laptop of Samsung should have been released this year. However, a recent industry report says that it has been pushed to 2023.
So if you are still expecting it to see the shimmer of the spotlight before the year ends, it appears that you are out of luck. The earliest that the new foldable device would debut is next year, and the reason behind it is still unclear.
The tech giant has yet to confirm such news. But given that we are a few days away from ending this year, we are most likely possibly seeing the new foldable next year.

NEW YORK, NY - AUGUST 2: The Samsung logo is displayed on a screen prior to the start of a launch event for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 at the Hammerstein Ballroom, August 2, 2016 in New York City.
The OLED display extends up to 17.3 inches, which we do not usually see in laptops. However, when it is folded down, the size of the screen will resemble most typical laptop offerings at 13.3 inches.
Phone Arena notes in its report that the upcoming Samsung foldable is not the first-ever laptop that rocks a folding display.
In fact, the giant tech firm Asus now offers a Zenbook 17 Fold, which, as the name suggests, features a 17-inch folding display. Given that, the South Korean phone market is likely to rival the Zenbook once it has debuted its own counterpart.
Besides the Zenbook 17 Fold, other manufacturers are working on their foldable display laptops. HP is currently developing its laptop, which sports an LG folding display, Phone Arena notes in its report.
