Unlike other social media platforms, TikTok is rampant with video tutorials that focus on the most common problems that people encounter daily.

These include the window condensation problem. But, experts urged users not to follow the TikTok hack that teaches how to keep condensation off their windows.

Since winter is already starting in the United States and the United Kingdom, TikTok window condensation is getting more and more popular.

Express UK explained that the TikTok hack is efficient since dish soap and other washing solutions will slide the water droplets.

However, this moisture could sip to porous surfaces, such as walls, window frames, and ceilings.

Once this happens, mold could form in your house. This is why window manufacturers and fitters urged people not to use cleaning solutions on windows because they can lead to damages that could cost thousands of dollars.

What Should You Do?

Instead of following the new TikTok window condensation hack, you can try other safer methods.

These include using a dehumidifier, which will balance out the moisture in the air.

Using electric fans can also help prevent water droplet build-ups on your windows. If you cook or shower, you can keep your ceiling fan running to prevent condensation.

If these methods don't work, you can try using weather stripping or installing temporary shrink-film insulation during the winter season.

But, the most efficient method you can use without spending any money is opening your windows whenever there are water droplets; this will allow the warm moisture to exit outside your house.

Aside from the new TikTok window condensation hack, other trending videos alarmed experts.

Previously, the TikTok self-diagnosing trend concerned health researchers because of its negative effects on teens.

The TikTok reverse AI filter trend also alarmed many experts.
