Honda's New Light Electric Van is Coming in the Spring of 2024
The press release of Honda Japan, which was translated by Google Translate into English, says that the new EV offering is closely based on the N-VAN.
The automaker has been offering a light van to its customers. However, the N-VAN only offered fuel-powered options.
This time, Honda confirmed that it is working on a new light van that sports an all-electric motor.
What to Expect from Honda's Upcoming EV Based on N-VAN
Honda reiterates in its media release the upcoming EV is based on the N-VAN. And as such, it rocks some of its features.
To be more precise, the light van offers its owners a huge luggage space, allowing them to stuff it with tons of baggage without any trouble.
Given that, the Japanese automaker says that the electric light van will also offer a large capacity. But what sets it apart is the EV motor, which brings powerful acceleration without all the noise that the fuel engine comes with.
Battery Range up to 124 Miles (200 KM)
According to a recent report by Electrek, the new EV van is meant for various usages. Its battery range enables it to be "practical enough to be used not only for commercial use."
Instead, its owners could also use it "for daily shopping, commuting to work or school, and hobby use."
Honda is aiming for a practical range for its upcoming electric van. It is looking forward to a cruising range of up to 124 miles or 200 kilometers (KM) once it debuts.
The automaker admits that the range of EVs these days remains to be an issue. However, the carmaker is working to address that in its electric van.

N-VAN EV for Only $7,300?
The giant carmaker says that it plans to be carbon neutral by 2050. And to do so, the firm is gearing up to release up to 30 EV offerings in various parts of the world as early as 2030.
And to further promote EVs to consumers, Honda plans to offer its new EV based on the N-VAN for an affordable price tag to the tune of 1,000,000 Japanese yen or $7,300. The carmaker says that it is the same cost as its gasoline cars.
The potential pricing of Honda gives us an idea of how cheap EVs are going to be in the near future.
