Riot Games' upcoming 5.12 patch update on Valorant will see major changes to the French agent Chamber.
The initial patch notes for the 5.12 update from Riot Games indicate yet another round of significant improvements to the Valorant agent Chamber. In an effort to make Chamber less of a must-pick agent, he is being nerfed for the second time this year.

Why is Riot Games Nerfing Chamber in Valorant?
As of Episode 5 Act 3, Chamber remains at the top of the agent pick rate for Radiant players, according to statistics from Blitz.gg.
Chamber, one of the most dominant agents in Valorant, is about to get hit with a series of nerfs. According to One Esports, Riot Games is making changes to Chamber's skillset as a way to find a balance between keeping Chamber's "identity" and maintaining Valorant's "health" by making a balance patch.
"Chamber's remained a dominant pick and we need to strike the right balance between preserving his identity and maintaining Valorant's game health," Riot stated in a tweet. "So we're making changes to most of his abilities in patch 5.12."
Valorant Patch 5.12: Chamber Abilities Changelog
According to Forbes, while all of Chamber's abilities will have changes, the most noticeable difference in his utilities is his Rendezvous ability, which allows him to teleport to each point in the map where he places his anchor.
After the update, Chamber will no longer have two anchors to place, but his teleport will only revolve around one point that has a wider range. Due to this limit, players will no longer be able to rotate fast or teleport to high off-angles.
Listed below is the full changelog of Chamber's utilities after the 5.12 patch:
Headhunter (Q)
- Updated Stability Curve
- Spread increased after his second bullet when spamming. This is explicitly meant to reduce low-precision body-shot spam as an effective combat measure.
Rendezvous (E)
- Chamber now places a single anchor that can be teleported to while inside its range.
- Diameter increased from 15 meters to 26 meters.
- Removed teleport activation height restriction.
- You can teleport to the Anchor while on different verticality so long as you are within its radius.
- Increased weapon equip time after teleporting from 0.4 seconds to 0.7 seconds.
- Headhunter is unaffected by this change.
- Destroying Rendezvous teleport anchor now disables it for the remainder of the round instead of being placed on a cooldown.
- Chamber no longer incurs an additional cooldown when recalling his Anchor after teleporting.
Trademark (C)
- The trap is now range restricted
- Trademark will disable when Chamber moves out of range and reactivate once inside.
- Can now be recalled mid-round
- Does not require a line of sight.
- 30 seconds cooldown on recall.
- Destruction remains permanent.
- Initial Arm Time increased from two seconds to four seconds.
- Health Increased from one to 20.
Tour De Force (X)
- Fire rate decreased by 57.5%.
Quality of Life (Slow)
- This applies to both Trademark and Tour De Force
- Reduced from 50% to 40%.
- Reduced duration from six seconds to four seconds.
- Reduced size by 30%.
