Limit Break will try to embark on a new record during the Super Bowl commercial by rolling out free NFT minting to select viewers.
According to CEO Gabe Leydon, a QR code will be included in the app where a limited number of users can obtain the NFT-based dragon characters from the half-time show.
Limit Break Spends $6.5 Million For a Super Bowl Ad
Before Leydon confirmed that a free NFT minting would take place next year, he announced back in October that Limit Break plans to invest $6.5 million for a short Super Bowl commercial.
According to an early report by VentureBeat, Limit Break shared its plans to unveil its first game inspired by its very own DigiDaigaku title, which is an NFT game.
"We're doing an extremely small collection, especially compared to the audience - something like 50 million people are going to see the commercial," Leydon said.
Leydon added that those interested in minting a collection from the DigiDaiku stash could freely do it without giving anything in return to the company.
As for the schedule of the Super Bowl LVII ad, it is scheduled to air on February 14, 2023. A few months from now, you can be eligible to obtain limited-edition NFTs that are entirely free.
According to Leydon, lucky viewers can have the shot of their life at a free DigiDaigaku Dragon NFT. If they are quick during the draw phase, then they can have a chance for this rare opportunity.
Most Anticipated Free NFT Minting
This is not the first time that Leydon will be involved in the Super Bowl ads. Previously, he collaborated with Halbert Nakagawa, another co-founder of Limit Break who also manages Machine Zone.
Under Leydon's tenure on Machine Zone, he ran some significant commercials as part of the widely-known Super Bowl. Some advertisements that flashed on the screen include game titles such as "Mobile Strike" and "Game of War: Fire Age."
While Leydon knew that that particular run had the "best marketing" that Machine Zone ever had for the past years, the free minting moment for the upcoming Super Bowl could be much bigger than anticipated.
The previous giveaways let some users receive a female and male DigiDaigaku character. For the next event, Limit Break will be granting dragons to some viewers who will keep in touch with the Super Bowl ad.

Leydon's Twitter Got Hacked
Earlier this month, Decrypt reported that the official Twitter of the DigiDaigaku boss was hacked. Leydon thought that the person who spearheaded the incident was an AT&T employee.
The stolen Twitter account carries a scam link that might potentially steal users' assets without them knowing. As such, Limit Break said that the hacker had taken away cryptos and NFTs from those who clicked the suspicious link.
