Gmail Search Results

In a released blog on their site, Google laid out new updates for Google Workspace platforms. According to the announcement, users will take their recent search activity in a much-improved version through this new update.

Google enhanced the search results when its email service was used on the web, and users will be given much more relevant and contextual results than before. This was announced last July as the company aims to provide better search and suggestion options on this platform.

Google Meet Presentation

During a presentation in a Google Meet call, the company rolled out a much more convenient way of sharing a file with other participants through the meeting's chat panel. Whether it is from Docs, Sheets, or Slides, users can limit the access to the selected attendees or it can be public to everyone during the presentation.

Users can also collaborate on the said file during the call, which makes the class or session more interactive than ever. As per BGR, this update could boost the Google Meet chat product's adoption as the standard of sharing a certain file while working with someone outside Google Workspace.

Pivot Table Editor Side Panel in Google Sheets

Based on a report from Engadget, Users will also now be able to resize the pivot table editor side panel on a new update for Google Sheets.

This feature was highly requested by the users as it will be useful when the names or some pivot table columns or filed are too long, which previously made the name cut-off from the screen.

Now, users can see the full text without adjusting the pivot tables with their cursors.

Last month, Google also released an update for Google Meet where users can obtain an automatic transcription during meetings. This feature is essential, especially if users need to take notes during meetings or class.

According to a previous report, Google Meet recordings may only be saved as videos. But sooner or later, the saved video files may come with automated transcriptions of the sessions, possibly in a Google Docs format.

For next year, Google will be allowing everyone to see a list of all attendees before entering the call as they present "Meeting Room Check-In." This update has been long overdue as it has been requested heavily by the users for quiet some time.

Upcoming AI-powered cameras are also on the verge of launching, supported and powered by Huddly and Logitech. Through this, everyone in the call or the conference room can be viewed clearly.
