Tesla Supercharger Price Drops in Some Europe and North American Locations

As per the news story by Electrek, the Elon Musk-owned EV maker has started bringing down its Supercharger rates in numerous locations.

Although Tesla did not announce such a move, its EV owners have started to report the price reduction in some locations.

Electrek notes in its latest report that the Supercharger stations across the world saw a couple of price increases in the past months. It comes as electricity has become more expensive these days due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

And as such, the rates at Supercharging stations have ballooned to $0.50 per kWh. Electrek did the math. It turns out that a single 60kWh charge now costs $30.

It is worth noting that Tesla has had massive Supercharger price increases in Europe and North America this year.

But this time, it looks like the streak in swelling cost is coming to an end. Some EV owners have started reporting price reductions in various stations.

For instance, a Twitter user says that the giant EV maker reduced its Supercharger pricing by roughly $0.5 per kWh. On the other hand, Electrek reports that the price drop in Europe is around $0.10 per kWh.

Free Thanksgiving Supercharger Rates During Off-Peak Hours

Elsewhere, Tesla is back at it again with its free Thanksgiving Supercharger promo during off-peak hours.

According to a recent report by Teslarati, the Musk-owned automaker is giving free Supercharging to EV owners in time for the Thanksgiving season. The promo is available in four states, such as Texas, Oklahoma, California, and Nevada.

The offer essentially encourages all-electric car owners to top up their vehicles during off-peak hours. Charging their EVs from 8 PM to 9 AM is free of charge.

The automaker wants its customers to "avoid the rush this Thanksgiving holiday," Tesla says when it announced its free charging promo.

The off-peak hours free charging runs from November 23 to November 27, allowing EV owners to top-up their batteries without costing them any money.

But even during peak hours, with the price decrease in various stations, EV owners could save some money.
