A new early access promo has been introduced by Verizon to both its customers and non-customers, a free 30-day trial to use eSIM technology with a 5G network. By having this promo, the network provider gives the floor to the users to compare the services between other couriers, as its competitors also released trial programs.
Verizon Test Drive: eSIM with 5G for Free
Verizon has been in the business for so long and it is considered one of the most expensive networks as it offers the latest technology like 5G that gives users faster service and data.
As the company wants to push this network to become the new standard for phones, the company launched a new program called "Verizon Test Drive" that lets users have early access to use eSIM technology with a 5G network.
Based on a report from The Verge, the network provider offers this promo on a free trial basis for 30 days. For users to access the free trial promo, it requires to have unlocked and compatible phones.
Ultra Wideband 5G, 5G Nationwide, and 4G LTE are also available to try with an additional 100GB of data and unlimited texts and calls.
A temporary phone number will be given to the customers by Verizon once they avail of the trial. With this, XDA-Developers clarified that users will not be receiving any credit checks or commitment, as the company just wants current and new users to test out what the company can offer to the consumers.
Trial Registration
To activate the promo, users will have to use Verizon's application which can be uploaded for both Android and iOS. 9To5Google laid out a step-by-step process.
(1) Users will have to access verizon.com/support/verizon-test-drive-faqs/ to scan the QR code. (2) Download the 'My Verizon App' and install it on your mobile devices. (3) Once it is done, open the application and tap the 'Start Free Trial'.Users will have to take note of turning on their permissions for location services of the application. (4) The application will determine if your device is eligible for the free trial. Once it is done, users will need to have an account to get started. Signing in and creating a new account are the two options that will be provided to choose from. (5) Enter your details for it to activate and you are done.
As per the report, this might also be the network's way of connecting to you in the future as you enter your details for the Test Drive.
There is a high chance that Verizon to market registered users. For Visible users, this promo is, unfortunately, unavailable for them to use as these users already utilizing Verizon's network to an extent.
