The new iPhone 14 was released earlier today, and one of the biggest changes to the device is that it has no physical Nano SIM Card slot on either side of the device. One of the biggest rumors before for the new smartphone from Apple is that it would no longer feature the SIM slot for physical cards, something which the public saw in person, earlier today.
Apple's iPhone 14 No Longer Features a Physical SIM Card Slot
The Apple iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro technical specifications no longer feature the beloved physical nano SIM card slot for the device, with its sides having no openings for the tray. It means that the new smartphone will no longer need any physical SIM cards to insert into it, all relying on its eSIM technology as unveiled at the showcase earlier today.
Of course, this confuses many users now, as the previous iPhone 13 models have the Dual SIM capabilities of both the physical SIM card and eSIM for its cellular connection use.
Future owners of the new iPhone 14 lineup will still get Dual eSIM support, meaning that users may register up to two numbers of the device for their communication needs. However, they would have to switch to use one at a time, something similar to the previous setup with physical SIMs.

How to Migrate to eSIM for the iPhone 14?
According to Apple, users would need to secure a carrier company that supports the eSIM availability from their services.
In the United States, these companies all support eSIMs for the iPhone's use:
- AT&T
- Boost Mobile
- Cellcom
- Credo Mobile
- C Spire
- FirstNet
- H2O Wireless
- Spectrum Mobile
- Straight Talk
- Strata
- T-Mobile USA
- Tracfone
- US Cellular
- Verizon Wireless
- Xfinity Mobile
Users would have to contact their telco manufacturer for their migration to eSIM, and this may take hours to days before getting their new cellular information for the new iPhone 14.
Apple's eSIM Feature
Back in previous outings of the iPhone, the company marketed it as a device that may feature a dual SIM setup for the use of multiple accounts on a single smartphone. Of course, this confused some users and buyers of the Apple smartphone, seeing as the iPhone XR through iPhone 13 all featured a single SIM card slot.
However, through the years, it is known that this second SIM card slot was for the eSIM, with one physical card on the nano SIM slot, and the other may be registered through the iPhone's Contacts app or Settings.
Now, instead of the same setup for the iPhone 14, users meet the version of the Apple smartphone that features no physical SIM card slots at all.
It all started with a rumor that the new iPhone 14 will no longer feature any openings on its side for a physical nano SIM card, and eventually, it is a leak that came true for this release of the device. It changes a lot for the iPhone lineup, especially as most of those that will need to adjust to these are its users that still center on the use of a physical SIM.
Nevertheless, it is not that intricate in terms of the process, but it may take several hours to days before issuing a new eSIM.
