Xbox Series X gaming console stock is about to get more "difficult" to find in time for the holidays, the Xbox boss Phil Spencer warned.
Even before the holiday season, the Xbox Series X has been quite rare to see in stock, unlike its cheaper Series S sibling.
But it looks like the next-generation console is going to be more difficult to buy as the holiday season is fast approaching.
Xbox Series X Are Getting Rarer During The Holidays
According to a recent report by Comicbook.com, the big boss of Xbox, Phil Spencer, admitted that the stocks of the Xbox Series X would remain limited. In fact, he notes that the next-generation console might get rarer during the holidays.
During the holiday season, gaming consoles are one of the first gift ideas that come to our minds, especially the PlayStation 5 (PS5) and the Xbox Series X. But despite that, it looks like consumers would still have a hard time looking for their stocks.
Comicbook notes in its report that the availability of these consoles has become better than in the past two years. However, their stocks remain to be quite limited.
The Xbox boss shared the manufacturing status of the highly-coveted Series X console with The Verge in his recent interview. And it seems that stocks of the gaming console would still be hard to come by.
Spencer admits that the Xbox Series X "is still a little more difficult to find." If you have been looking to grab one, you would surely agree with that.
And given that, he further disclosed that the Xbox Series X "will be difficult to find, especially through the holiday."
So it only means that if you are already having a hard time looking for a gaming console, the holiday season is about to make it worse.
In the past two years, the console maker has been grappling with raging supply and shipping constraints, making the stocks of their gaming machines significantly slim.
How About Xbox Series S?
But on the other hand, Spencer assures that the Xbox Series S has ample supply even during the holiday season.
The Xbox boss shared with The Verge that its stocks are ready to hit the massive holiday demand.
He says that "you can find [the Xbox Series S] in the market, which I think is a good thing."
