Apple previously warned that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments would be lower than expected.

The tech giant manufacturer explained that the temporary COVID-19 restrictions at Foxconn were to blame.

"We continue to see strong demand for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. However, we now expect lower iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments," stated Apple.

Now, consumers seem to have to endure these issues' effects.

iPhone 14 Delivery Delays Might be Getting Worst

According to MacRumors' latest report, iPhone 14 deliveries are getting longer.

The official Apple online store stated that the shipments in the United States are expected to take around six weeks.

This means that those who are late to purchase their preferred iPhone 14 models might not receive their deliveries on Christmas.

This was seen on the iPhone 14 Pro orders, which were expected to arrive on Dec. 27.

The worsening delays are not surprising, especially after Foxconn confirmed that the shipments are expected to be less than its previous estimate.

The manufacturer explained that the recent 85 million deliveries are now difficult to achieve. Foxconn followed this up with a new estimate of around 79 million shipments.

Why iPhone 14 Shipments are Getting Delayed

Inverse explained that the major reason behind the worsening iPhone 14 delays is where the iOS smartphones are manufactured.

Foxconn, the manufacturing company, contracted by Apple to assemble its iPhone units, plays a major role in the long waiting times.

Since this tech firm is located in China, it is also affected by the Chinese government's zero-COVID policies.

These health protocols can lock down companies, such as Foxconn, whenever their employees get infected by the novel coronavirus.

They can only re-open once the COVID-19 infection cases fall back to zero.

Although iPhone 14 delays are not improving, Apple is still making drastic efforts to ensure that consumers will have the best experiences.

Previously, the iPhone 14 Emergency SOS via satellite feature was confirmed to include four new cities.

Apple also launched the new iOS 16.0.2 for iPhone 14 users, solving camera shaking and other issues.
