Peacock: Streaming Service Adds Live NBC Local Channels on Premium Plus Plan—Is It Worth It?

Live TV is coming to Peacock, same as what Hulu+ offers.

Peacock delivers a new feature for its streaming service for users in the Premium Plus plan, and it is the addition of NBC local channels and stations available for the app. It is only a matter of time before Peacock adds this, especially as NBC is its sister company, with many possible ventures to undertake with its services.

NBCUniversal is known for being the parent organization of Peacock, its over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform that centers on on-demand content.

Peacock TV is offering a boost for all under the Premium Plus plan, and it centers on adding new live TV channels from NBC, delivering a live broadcast experience right into the public's hands. Users may also watch this from their TVs or computers, as long as they are subscribed to the company's top-tier plan to include the streaming.

According to CNET, Peacock announced that its current ad-free Premium Plus platform will offer live TV features to stream on the app, and NBC's local channels are arriving in the streaming service.

The live TV feature will be available for 24 hours, seven days a week says Peacock, with the service set to begin by November 30 to bring the NBC channels for all.

Peacock's Premium Plus Plan-Worth It?

Peacock's Premium Plus plan is the ad-free, all-inclusive subscription tier from the company, and it already includes several on-demand shows, series, and movies available on the platform. Now, the November 30 update will deliver live TV streaming for all, with the same fee as before.

It is worth it to avail of this plan from Peacock to get live TV streaming, as well as ad-free streaming of the platform.

Peacock's Streaming Service

Peacock is joining the charge towards an OTT and on-demand platform which also offers live TV features that includes several channels available on its streaming services. One of the most famous ones to already have this on their platform is Hulu+, a subsidiary streaming service from the Walt Disney Company.

For a long time now, the Hulu+ service offered live TV with its streaming services, offering a real-time stream of cable and broadcast channels available on apps and multiple devices.

However, as Peacock is seeing a rise in its streaming service, NBC pulled out several of its channels including "Saturday Night Live," "The Voice," and other shows from the company. It is only natural that these shows and live TV channels arrive at Peacock, focusing on broadcast integration for the app, centering on its latest plan.

Peacock is centering on a better streaming experience for all, and its latest integration of the live TV NBC channels and broadcast features for its update to the Premium Plus plan. Users may now enjoy live TV streaming for the shows which center on live TV drops, or news updates from NBC, via the Peacock application.
