Twitter remains the least choice of various brands after the Elon Musk takeover.
This means that this website is only considered the last option for advertisers among the giant social media platforms.
Now, is Elon Musk's leadership making Twitter's ad business worst?
If you are a long-time fan of the billionaire, you know how he hated advertising. In 2019, Elon was asked by Diego Monroy, a real estate expert.
He replied to Musk's tweet, asking him if Tesla has a marketing department that focuses on the aspects of digital marketing.
"I hate advertising," replied the tech CEO.
Twitter Still Least Choice of Brands?
According to Fast Company's latest report, Twitter is still at the bottom of the list when it comes to advertising platforms.
"If you look at the other tech platforms, Twitter is very much at the bottom of the choices you'd make," explained Media by Mother CEO Dave Gaines.
He added that Twitter being immature as an ad tech stack drastically affects its advertising business. Gaines even compared the online platform to other websites.
Dave said that on Twitter, companies couldn't easily focus on their targeted audiences.
Is Elon Musk to Blame?
Yes, the main reason for Twitter being branded' last option is its immaturity when it comes to being an ad tech stack.
However, the billion-dollar purchase of Musk is also making this situation worst. As of writing, the CEO's leadership could be considered chaotic.
CNN Business reported that after Elon acquired Twitter, more companies decided to pause their advertisements on the social media platform.
Because of this, the social company is now facing a massive drop in revenue. You can click here to see further details about Twitter's financial problems.
