Google Lens is Now Available on Search Engine’s Homepage—How to Use It?

Does this mean there is no more need for the app?

Google Lens is getting a better integration for its use in a more common setting, especially with the latest feature that brings it to the search engine's homepage without the need to access the application. The nifty Lens feature delivers an experience where users need only to scan what is in front of them to search on the web.

It aims to help the public from avoiding the need to rely on keywords or describe what they see, especially as it may sometimes be inaccurate compared to showing the photo altogether.

Google's VP of Search Engineering, Rajan Patel, announced online that there is a new change for the search engine feature available on the homepage of the company's featured product. It is the integration of the Lens app for the web app's searches, where users may use Google Lens directly on their computers for its dedicated use.

Patel regarded that there are not many changes to Google's homepage for the longest time now, but this Lens integration brings a new feature available for all to utilize.

The Lens will help empower users in their search, allowing everyone to use photos or screenshots to find it on the web and generate better results for their navigation.

How to Use Google Lens with Google's Homepage

The new Google homepage still sports the same design as its classic look, but this time, the search bar has two icons on it, including the voice search and the Google Lens logo. Clicking on the Google Lens logo would show a window where users may drop or upload their chosen image for Lens to scan and bring results for their needs.

It will deliver features like what the mobile app version delivers, centering on scanning texts or looking for related images that will add further information for their online query.

Google Lens and its Feature for All

Google introduced the Lens app and feature to the public in 2017, and it first arrived for the Pixel smartphones to deliver a new experience with people's searches for their mobile devices. With the Lens feature, users may point their cameras to a certain element, and Google will take charge of searching for it p and provide helpful information.

The Google Lens does not need any QR code or other tech integration with the element seen in public, helping everyone get the most out of their search experience.

There are different purposes for the Google Lens app which it delivers to its users, and it would work by pointing the camera toward a certain object with the company doing the rest. One may use it to generate style inspiration by directing their cameras to their planned fits, showing related searches and information for it.

Google's recent update to the Lens app brings it to the native search engine homepage which is also one of the internet company's most famous features among its services. The Lens integration will help users search directly on the platform, allowing them to find the things they are scanning, or use it offline for their needs.
