Apple Debuts 10th-gen iPad Classic with USB-C
The new iPad delivers a revamped body from Apple, and the company recently announced the new devices via its news release which celebrates the latest tablet from its development. The 10th generation iPad Classic delivers a new experience for all, and it centers on its swap of the Lightning port for the USB-C for its charging and data transfers.
Apple may be heeding the EU's mandate over USB-C on the devices, offering a universal connection for all after its long focus on the Lightning cables.
The new iPad focuses on more work to be done, with faster connections available to the device like the WIFi 6, 5G, and USB-C. Additionally, the separately sold Magic Keyboard Folio also releases with the iPad for better work and experience with the device.
iPad 10th-Gen: Availability and Pricing
Apple's new 10th-gen iPad will soon be available by October 26, and it is two days after the iPadOS 16's release. However, it is unknown if it will release with the iPadOS 16 as its data is unavailable via Apple's website.
Users have two options for the new iPad, with the WiFi-only device which starts at $449 for its 64GB variant, and the WiFi+Cellular 64GB starting at $599. There are only two storage options for the 10th-gen iPad, with 64GB and 256GB.
Apple's iPad Development
The Cupertino giant is not sleeping on its famed tablets from its tech releases, with the annual releases it brings to the world with the iPad Classic, iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad Mini, and more. However, not all of those saw a release this year, as only two variants were unveiled by Apple for 2022, namely the iPad Classic and the iPad Pro M2.
There were many changes to the iPad's development in the past years, particularly with Apple's decision to move its manufacturing and assembly over to Vietnam from its Chinese plants. The company decided that this is the best option for them as China's Zero COVID policy and the tensions between the country affected its tech releases.
Nevertheless, Apple intent to deliver new iPads to the public that will center on what they have to offer, particularly with the upcoming release of the iPadOS 16 later this October.
The new iPad 10th Generation surely is an upgrade from the previous 9th-gen release from Apple, particularly with its change in its body shape which features a more boxy look from its rounded state. Additionally, it delivers a more powerful A14 Bionic chip, paired with its faster connections with WiFi 6, 5G, and USB-C.
