Best-Selling Car Spot in Germany
A report from Electrek revealed that Tesla becomes one of the best-selling car spots in Germany as they dominate its market, which is a very tough job to secure as the mentioned country strongly supports its own brands such as Volkswagen, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz.
9,848 Model Y vehicles have been delivered by the company as per The Federal Motor Transport Company (KBA). This makes Tesla Model Y becomes the best-selling vehicle in the country, an achievement knowing the fact that it is a foreign brand. Volkswagen Golf has been dethroned in the top spot as they only delivered 7,000 units in September.
Adding to this, Tesla also delivered 3,878 Model 3 vehicles in September alone. This is not the first time that the company achieved these goals but it is very notable for them to achieve this goal in a tough market.
Tesla's Goal
Last year, Tesla delivered only 40,000 vehicles in Germany. Now, Tesla aims to increase its sales in 2022 by selling 80,000 units, which is not impossible to reach based on these reports alone.
These numbers were questioned by several reports as Tesla has been experiencing delayed deliveries for its Tesla Model Y in Giga Berlin. A report from Drive Tesla Canada last June reveals that the auto company's customers see a delay in delivery dates. Meanwhile, some are experiencing cancellation of shipping.
The reason behind this is that there are some issues with the voltage converter on its drive unit which was founded by Tesla employees. Because of this, the parts needed to be replaced. Adding to this is the unavailability of the mentioned parts to the company's suppliers, causing them to delay deliveries.

Tesla Giga Berlin
After opening its doors in March this year, Tesla also becomes the largest industrial employer in the German region last July as they launched Giga Berline, based on a report from InsideEVs.
As per the report, once the auto factory has been settled and reached its full potential, it aims to produce 500,000 electric vehicles per year. The company has also been planning to expand its workforce to roughly 12,000 workers.
Currently, 7,000 workers from fifty different countries work at Giga Berlin, as per Teslarati's report. They also recently welcomed 120 apprentices and students in the factory as they posted an announcement on LinkedIn.
