Based on a report from The Verge, Meta recently released an update for its virtual reality application or its Metaverse that reports bugs in a much easier way.
Horizon Worlds Notes
Meta released an update regarding its virtual reality application Horizon Worlds. The company stated that 14 bugs have been fixed for the improvements of the app's lighting, sound, grabbables, and camera feature.
As per the tech giant's official Quest website, "We're laser-focused on quality, and in this spirit, we're rolling out a new bug bashing feature that will make reporting bugs easier."
Bug Reporting Tool
People also complain about the inconvenience that the app has been giving to its users in reporting bugs for the headset. Meta stated that this update was a response to those complaints.
By pressing and holding down the A, B, X, and Y buttons or five seconds, a new in-app bug reporting toll will pop up for the device to help hunt down the bugs. This update will also give the users an option to attach a screenshot regarding the report.
This update was rolled out to some users for testing, meaning it is familiar to some. Meta Spokesperson Kelsi Horn said that a subset of creators back in April 2021 experienced these new features.
Through previous testings, the company has been improving its UI. This led the company to be rolling out the newest update publicly. She added, "Bugs reported through this tool are individually triaged by members of the Horizon Worlds team."
Several Updates
Aside from this, several bug fixes have been made including the fixed overflow scrolling in the Worlds panel, improved rendering defects in avatars, and improvements to travel performance. Info panels are now also showing the correct content in Arcade and Venues (and personal spaces).
The Selfie camera has been also fixed as it is now working more properly than before. Several improvements have also been implemented for the creators such as improved audio, support floats, and more.

#POPJAM Competition
An update regarding the #POPJAM competition was also stated in the announcement. It states that several technical difficulties were experienced by the platform. Therefore, submission can not be judged fairly.
Because of this, the original $150,000 award has increased to a total prize of $267,000. This award will be given to all of the people who participated in the competition.
The company was very vocal that the platform was not stable and had too many bugs for this competition to continue. Meta stated that "Prizes aren't the only reason creators build for competitions-we know it's about recognition, notoriety, and that world builder cred. We're working on a few cool ways to highlight the submitted worlds with the entire community, so stay tuned!"
