It is that time of the year again. Nope, it is not yet Christmas. The "Minecraft" Mob Vote is finally here for another edition of Internet factions and adorable Minecraft mob propaganda.
Minecraft Mob Vote
What exactly is the Mob Vote? Every year, the creators of the popular sandbox game allow their players to vote for a new mob to be added to the game. Through a series of online polls, "Minecraft" will ask players which mob deserves to be included in the game.
The Mob Vote is one of the highlights of the annual "Minecraft Live" event. At the said event, "Minecraft" developers will provide players with a glimpse of additional features that are set to be implemented in the game. "Minecraft Live" is always planned to be packed with exciting surprises and easter eggs.
According to "Minecraft" creative director Agnes Larsson, "Minecraft Live" will take place on October 15. Larsson adds that the "Minecraft Live" event will include "new and exciting things." After missing update schedules in their last several release time frames, the sandbox game has plenty to make up for this year's live event.
"Minecraft Live" can be viewed by fans from any location with an internet connection. People can watch it on the Minecraft website, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch accounts using their phone, tablet, PC, or game console.
How and Where to Vote
The Mob Vote will proceed on Oct. 14, one day before the official release of "Minecraft Live 2022." Starting at noon, players will have a full day to vote before the polls close. Make sure to vote on the specified date because "Minecraft" will reveal the results live during the event. You can access the polls through this link on Oct. 14.
Based on the official "Minecraft" website, voting will be different this year. Instead of another Twitter poll, Mojang decided to have players vote on a special Bedrock server, the Minecraft launcher, or directly on Minecraft.net. This is a commendable move by Mojang because it ensures that many players will be able to access the polls directly within the game.
To ensure the process remains safe and fair, you must sign in with your Microsoft account to vote.
According to Beebom, the first poll is held between three mobs. However, if previous community votes indicate, the top two mobs from the first round will compete again for the final position. For the time being, the developers have not revealed any details about a second round.
Pick the Best Mob
"Minecraft" has already revealed the three mobs that the community will be debating through individual short videos. Here is a list of the Mob Vote 2022 candidates, in case you haven't heard of them yet.
Sniffer - The Sniffer is the game's closest approximation to a dinosaur-like mob. Because of massive bones underground and in the Nether, this is especially relevant to game lore. The Sniffer is a mob that digs up plantable seeds and grows them into unique plants.
Rascal - This mob is only found in the overworld caves. The rascal engages players in a hide-and-seek minigame and drops rare items as a reward if they find them three times. This is similar to the Glare, which was left out of the most recent Mob Vote.
Tuff Golem - Tuff Golem is an ornament mob that picks up items and wanders around randomly. The Tuff Golem is a mob you create, similar to snow and iron golems, but they are entirely neutral. It will wear a fitting cloak if you add a wool block to its creation.
