TikTok's new partnership will soon bring the most-awaited live shopping experience.
Recently, the giant social media platform has been making efforts to offer users live shopping features.
In July, TikTok tested a new functionality called TikTok Shop. This feature was rolled out in the United Kingdom.
However, it faced several issues, which forced the social media company to take it down. These problems involve internal bugs, as well as not-so-good consumer traction.
Although this is the case, Engadget reported that Asian countries, such as Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand, still have the TikTok Shop.
TikTok's New Partnership to Bring Live Shopping Experience!
According to Mashable's latest report, TikTok confirmed that it will be partnering with a shopping platform already used by Dolly Parton, Matthew McConaughey, and other celebrities.
This platform is the so-called "TalkShopLive." Just like the home shopping model of QVC, a popular American home shopping, this platform allows sellers to create a channel.
They can add their preferred products to their channels. When they go live, their items will appear on the sidebar next to their livestreams.
This will allow consumers to purchase the products they saw during the livestream. The good thing about this is that they no longer have to be redirected to another platform or website.
They can complete their shopping experience within TikTok.
When Will It Arrive?
As of press time, people who are familiar with TikTok's works claimed that the feature will be provided by TalkShopLive as early as November.
However, this will still depend on the course of the agreement between the American shopping television and the social media company.
Both of them are still discussing their partnership and clarified that no contract has been made yet.
Although this is the case, TikTok didn't deny that the upcoming feature will be available in the United States. Because of this, many individuals believe that it will arrive in the U.S.
"When it comes to market expansion for TikTok Shop we are always guided by demand and are constantly exploring new and different options for how we can best serve our community," said TikTok.
