Apple just announced that October 27 will be the presentation of the earnings report for the fourth quarter, as confirmed by 9To5Mac.
Q4 2022 will be covering the months of July, August, and September.
Along with the earnings report, a conference call will also be held with different investors of the company, where analysts will also explain and provide more detailed information.
The conference call will feature Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook and Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri, as reported by iMore. The event will start at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET.
No official guide was given to the public regarding how will Q4 2022 go through yet Cook stated last July that Apple is looking forward to the results as it will cover the sales of its new products such as the iPhone 14 series, Airpods Pro second generation, and the Apple Watch Ultra.
Quarter 3 Results
Last quarter, the company beat its estimates as per Bloomberg. The predictions of the analysts for revenue varied from $79.26B at its lowest to $88.41B at its highest. The 26 analysts present to the conference predicted the revenue with an average of $82.81B.
However, Q3 2022 reported revenue of $83.0 billion and a profit of $19.4 billion. The services grew 12% for the quarter. Apple also presented a breakdown of revenue by category.
- iPhone: $40.67 billion
- Mac: $7.38 billion
- iPad: $7.22 billion
- Wearables: $8.08 billion
- Services: $19.60 billion
Comparison to 2021
Compared to last year's same quarter, Apple also reported $81.43 billion in revenue and a profit of $21.74 billion. As per 9To5Mac, these digits are boosted as it was affected heavily by the pandemic and the increase in demand for iPads and Mac.
Despite being so close to last year's Q3, he also added that he is still delighted with the results as it doubled the digit of the growth of new customers to iPhone.
Cook said during the results that, "As always, we are leading with our values, and expressing them in everything we build, from new features that are designed to protect user privacy and security, to tools that will enhance accessibility, part of our longstanding commitment to create products for everyone."
