Blockchain-based RPG Tatsumeeko Partners with Immutable X to Focus More on Trackable Ownership

Tatsumeeko started off as a Discord chatbot. Today, it is becoming the biggest blockchain RPG in the market.

Tatsumeeko is known as one of the largest role-playing games available on the blockchain, with playability extending to prominent crypto institutions such as Ethereum and Solana. According to reports, Tatsumeeko intends to expand its Web3 capabilities with the help of the well-known blockchain platform Immutable X (IMX).

Tatsumeeko Eyes to Scale Its Web3 Capability

Based on a TechCrunch report, Tatsumeeko prefers to scale its capability in some specific aspects of blockchain-based gaming. The goal of the collaboration is to improve Tatsumeeko's gameplay experience by emphasizing trackable ownership and the transfer of in-game assets. Tatsumeeko also hopes to expand its virtual land sale with the help of Immutable, similar to mechanisms found on other Web3 platforms such as "The Sandbox Game."

Immutable X is a highly regarded layer-2 Ethereum scaling solution on the market. IMX boasts on its official website that they are responsible for nearly 9000 transactions that occur in the cryptoverse every second. One of their main selling points is their ability to allow Web3 transactions for minting, transferring, and trading crypto assets without recurring gas fees.

To put IMX's reach in the blockchain economy into context, they are the layer-2 developers behind the largest Web3 platforms online, hosting GameStop, OKX, TokenTrove, and dozens more. This is the reason crypto-investors use Immutable X to distribute their assets to various Web3 marketplaces.

More About Tatsumeeko and IMX

One of the highlights of Tatsumeeko and Immutable X's collaboration is creating a new Tatsumeeko virtual land sale mechanism called Aethereal Parcels, which will focus on trackable ownership and transfer of in-game assets. This Web3 land base mode is set to go live on October 20.

"With IMX as our technical partner for on-chain infrastructure and support, we can bring this process in-house to provide our players with true digital asset ownership," said Tatsumeeko CEO and creative director David Lim. "This enables trustless transactions and transfers of valuable digital items between players for low fees while also contributing to the game's ecosystem."

Tatsu.gg, the established blockchain MMORPG, began operations as a market-leading Discord chatbot. Tatsumeeko now has advanced world-building and gameplay similar to that of well-known adventure-fantasy gacha games like "Genshin Impact." Playing Tatsumeeko exposes players to an infinite number of gaming options and the opportunity to form communities with its ever-growing player base.

Tatsumeeko takes place in a fictional land called Ielia where players can battle monsters, create communities, and interact with other players in a manner reminiscent of adventure games of the same genre. With NFT projects that directly merge into Tatsumeeko through its Discord, it is also intended to serve as an introduction to crypto and NFTs.

Following a report from Globe Newswire, Tatsumeeko also allows users to build a fully personalized experience with alternatives to conceal the game's cryptocurrency layer, use credit cards for NFT purchases, and own, trade, and sell their items directly through the platform. By doing this, users can avoid the high-risk, "gray market" asset trading or peer-to-peer methods that devoted MMORPG players typically use.
