The Volkswagen GEN.TRAVEL is a new concept car that will allow passengers to sleep in its bed-transforming seats with its fully autonomous features.
Volkswagen GEN.TRAVEL is the Latest Prototype
The Volkswagen Group recently announced a new fully-electric vehicle for its future lineup, centering on its study for its commitment to delivering a clean energy fleet by 2030. It is the latest prototype known as GEN.TRAVEL and according to the Volkswagen Newsroom, brings a way for people to travel in style and comfort that allows people to sleep along the way.
The concept car is a fully-autonomous car that presents a modular interior that would fit different seating needs, from seats that turn to bed or interchangeable car seats for children, also presenting tables in the cabin. It is a cross between a sedan and an MPV or multi-purpose vehicle that delivers on luxury and style during the drive.
Level 5 Autonomy, No Steering, Bed Seats
Volkswagen offers a concept of future mobility with GEN.TRAVEL, and it packs the top-tier Level 5 autonomy for door-to-door travel and a digital system. The new EV from the company redefines point-to-point drives which will center on the car's system and fully removes the steering wheel for its passengers.
Its seats turn into beds that sacrifice the rear seats, and its dashboard will have tables and a fully-digital display. It also presents a luxurious cabin that uses glass finishes inside the new concept EV.
Volkswagen's Next-Gen Vehicles
The famous German car company is renowned for its many takes on new electric vehicles coming to the world, and they offer new designs and concepts which transform mobility to the next level. One of its latest concept cars is the ID.AERO, and it is a new EV that will serve as a stepping stone towards its growth in the global market, particularly in China.
The company is best known for its ID lineup of electric cars, with its initial EV releases centering on the ID.3 and ID.4 that are now available to the world which brings the company's take on clean energy cars.
Volkswagen also recently confirmed the revamp of its classic camper van, also known as the "Kombi" or "Microbus" which initially debuted in the early 1960s, soon to release its modern-day EV counterpart. The VW ID.BUZZ is also a known concept that will bring a clean energy camping van which is perfect for this generation's sustainable advocates.
New electric vehicles and concept cars from Volkswagen are debuting more futuristic designs and prototypes which elevates the company's modern lineup to the next generation. The latest GEN.TRAVEL is centering on its driving systems to transport people and take the wheel entirely from them, as it no longer offers any steering controls for the passengers.
