The YouTuber group lined up old vehicles to form a wall. This served as the target of the remotely controlled car. The vehicle successfully crashed at low speed.

A few seconds after the collision, the Crash Detection feature of the iPhone 14 Pro automatically activated. Then, an emergency SOS countdown started.

However, before the iOS smartphone could actually call emergency services, the TechRax team canceled it.

The YouTuber also conducted a second test, in which the car was moving at a faster speed. The vehicle still crashed towards the wall made of decrepit road cars.

The iPhone 14 Pro's Crash Detection feature was still efficient. They also canceled the emergency SOS call so responders would not be alerted.

Via its official Support website, Apple explained that the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models all come with the new Crash Detection.

The tech giant manufacturer explained that this new function is specifically designed to detect severe car crashes.

This is why TechRax's viral YT video showed a slight delay when the vehicle crashed at low speed.

Apple said that the Car Detection feature works during front-impact, side-impact, rear-end collisions, and rollovers.

"When a severe car crash is detected, your iPhone or Apple Watch sounds an alarm and displays an alert," said Apple.
