HP unveiled a new robot that centers on printing and delivering blueprints for all construction work, and it aims to help a certain project or job for many applications. The HP SitePrint brings a fully-autonomous robot that obeys command through cloud integration and a remote control tablet to bring its work and help to construction projects.
HP SitePrint is a Construction Robot for Blueprints
The company known for its printers and computer technology, Hewlett-Packard, announced via a press release that there is a new technology called SitePrint which aims to help construction work. The new robot will help mark the floor with ink, and it will place markers accurately, as per what the project's blueprints reflect for the job.
The robot has three wheels, and it will release ink when it needs to mark the surface for the job to do, serving as a device that will reflect the plans for workers. It is a small device that will deliver on the job using a remote control tablet, with its ink having the option to dry out and disappear for the length of the construction project.
It can also tackle multiple obstacles, with the SitePrint capable of steps and drops.
Autonomous Robot for Construction Projects
HP first brought the robot to New York's Penn Station LIRR Train Hall renovation, showing that the robot does its features for the job at hand. The video showed that the autonomous robot would bring its services upon command, marking up the lines that workers need to follow to complete the project.
The HP SitePrint will help other projects and works from construction companies and firms, for future needs. It will also help save time in preparing a site for markings, as the bot will do it for the team.
Robots and their Help for Human Work
Different companies in the world have employed robots to bring additional help and hands to center on their daily needs and operations, adding a significant presence to the workforce. There is significant help that robots bring to society now, and most focus on assisting the public with their needs and requirements, even for the medical community.
This is why many companies like Intel are on their continued to work to improve robots' performance and technology through many deep learning programs and training.
One robot in China also presents a massive help to the health technology sector by performing COVID-19 tests on patients which need to know if they got infected by the virus.
Before, robots are taboo and doubted for their mechanical addition to a company, but now, it helps and provides significant assistance for different functions.
The latest robot from HP is a massive help to help in construction, and despite the robot not doing the heavy lifting, it presents helps in the efforts to complete a project faster and more efficiently. It also ensures that measurements are accurate in the construction process, helping place ink on the ground that will present a guide to workers.
