An Uber Eats delivery robot went straight into a police crime scene and passed through the yellow caution line in Los Angeles, a now-viral Twitter video shows.
While humans would know that walking through a police line is a no-no, a delivery robot appears to have an exemption to this.
Uber Eats Delivery Robot Crashes Into a Police Crime Scene
According to a recent report by Futurism, a food delivery robot in LA seems to have completely ignored a yellow police line that blocks off a crime scene.
What appears to be one of the food delivery robots of Uber Eats was seen in a now-viral video on Twitter.
And it was not some mundane task of simply shipping meals to its customers. The robot hilariously passes through a police crime scene.

A Serve Robotics food delivery robot drives down La Brea Avenue sidewalk, past Pink's Hot Dogs, on January 25, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.
The clip shows that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) seemingly just let the delivery robot pass through the crime scene. However, it appears that some police officers stared at the trespasser as it drove in front of them. Meanwhile, the others went on to ignore it completely.
The robot showcased an "on delivery" status as it drove over an LAPD crime scene. So it looks like it is on its way to deliver the food of an Uber Eats customer.
Suspected School Shooting Incident
As per a news story by Gizmodo, a Twitter user, William Gude, who goes by the name Film the Police LA, posted the video of the trespassing robot.
He says that he was apparently at a suspected shooting incident. Thus, the police blocked off the perimeter as they stormed the Hollywood High School.
The man behind Film the Police LA, a watchdog Twitter account, told Gizmodo in an interview that he "just saw it coming." He also notes that he "couldn't believe what [he] was seeing."
Gude narrates that the robot tried to pass through the crime scene, but the caution line was blocking its way. So to let it pass, a camera guy at the scene gave it a helping hand by lifting the police line tape.

Uber Eats Delivery Robot
Futurism notes in its report that the food delivery robot is from an Uber Eats subsidiary, Serve Robotics. The said robot kicked off with its partnership with Uber in LA several months ago or in May.
The Uber subsidiary disclosed to Gizmodo that the robot in the video is actually operated by "human supervisors." Serve blames the trespassing incident on a "human error."
It adds that supervisors are actually tasked to reroute when approaching a barrier tape. But in this incident, Serve claims that the robot supervisor believes they were being "waved through."
