According to the story by Slash Gear, Rare has finally announced that the "GoldenEye 007" game will be getting a remastered version. Players will finally be able to play the classic Nintendo 64 first-person shooter game.
The game will reportedly become available for both the Nintendo Switch and Xbox platforms. It was also announced that the game will also be available for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers without needing to pay extra.

The news reportedly came "on the eve of the Tokyo Game Show," which is where a lot of top industry developers are sharing the different plans they have when it comes to upcoming releases.
Rare, the developer of the game, shared a tweet saying that after 25 years from its original release, the "GoldenEye 007" game will be "faithfully recreated" for Xbox consoles. The tweet even mentioned 4K resolution and a smoother framerate along with a local split-screen to enable multiplayer mode.

In a follow-up tweet, Rare shared the announcement of Nintendo of America sharing that the "GoldenEye 007" game will be coming on Nintendo Switch for members of the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
When it comes to the Nintendo Switch, the announcement also mentions that the game will also get online play. This would allow gamers to play together in a classic-spy fashion.
Estimation is that the Game Will be Available to Fans Soon
Although Rare has yet to announce when the "GoldenEye 007" game will officially be dropping, the article by Slash Gear says that fans might not have to wait too long. The reason why fans might not have to wait for a long period is that both Microsoft and Nintendo are advertising that the title is coming soon and that the game will have a simultaneous release on different platforms.
