Rumors about Tesla crash test-related secret codes appeared after the Model Y aced its safety test. Now, experts shared their concerns regarding these hidden settings.
For the past few years, the giant automaker has been among the top EV makers regarding crash safety test records.
Tesla's electric vehicles have been receiving high safety ratings from crash-testing agencies across the globe.
Previously, the Model Y unit could ace the safety test of NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration).
However, it seems like the crash safety results acquired by Tesla Model Y may be put into question.
Tesla Crash Test-Related Special Codes Appear
According to Electrek's latest report, Green (@greentheonly), a popular Tesla hacker, released a statement claiming that the automaker has crash-test related secret codes.

"Tesla just added ANCAP support in their code. This is in addition to already existing 'I VISTA' (Chinese testing grounds), EuroNCAP, and Korea NCAP," he said via his official Twitter post.
Green also claimed that he confirmed that the giant EV maker has been giving one-off builds to crash safety agencies.
On the other hand, the software codes, which are not visible on the autopilot side, are adjusting Tesla's EV systems.
Why Tesla Crash Test-Related Codes are Alarming
Although Green didn't really provide the exact problem posed by the alleged crash test-related codes, various experts claimed that these allow Tesla to better conform to the test criteria of ANCAP, EuroNCAP, and other auto safety agencies.
If you missed the previous headlines about the Model Y, this EV unit achieved the highest overall safety crash score under Euro NCAP's new test protocol.
But, since Green's claims are not yet proven, it is still important to take his remarks with a grain of salt.
On the other hand, the new Tesla lithium finery for EV batteries is expected to start its construction.
Meanwhile, the Canadian government said they talked with Elon Musk about the new Tesla Giga Canada.
