Google Pixel 7's Colors as Potato Chips Flavors

Days after Apple introduced its all-new iPhone 14, Google is hyping up its next-generation flagship Pixel device by introducing new potato chip flavors.

Yes, you read it right, the renowned tech giant seriously released various potato chip flavors that exactly match the upcoming colorways of the new Pixel 7.

In fact, it is not the first time Google went on to market its upcoming Android device using a couple of flavored potato chips.

The earliest instance that the phone maker used some chips to hype up its next-generation offering was ahead of the debut of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which was roughly a year ago.

As per the report by Chrome Unboxed, Google introduced its potato chips in Japan in September last year to promote the Pixel 6 series ahead of their unveiling.

The Google Salty Flavor showcases the look of the then-upcoming Pixel phone even before it launched. It flaunted the rear camera bar of the smartphone and its two-tone colorway.

But this time, according to the news story by 9to5 Google, the tech giant is back at it again in promoting its upcoming smartphone using chips.

Much like the first version of the Google Original Chips, the latest release in time for the Pixel 7 release still rocks the camera bar of the phone, its pill-shaped camera module, and the two-tone.

However, what sets the new version apart from the chips last year is that it now comes with multiple flavors. And these variations are based on the different color options that the upcoming Google phone is offering.

On top of that, the potato chips no longer come with plastic packaging. Instead, Google interestingly packed the snack in a box, which resembles the shape of its upcoming device.

It is worth noting that the Google Original Chips are only available for a limited number of boxes.

9to5 Google notes that the phone maker is only releasing a total of 2,000 boxes of its promotional snack. Another limitation is that it is only available in Japan. No word yet if it is also coming out in the United States or elsewhere in the world.

As mentioned, it comes with four flavors, which are heavily based on the new color options of the Pixel 7.

It includes the Hazel Onion flavor, which rocks the green and gold colorway, whereas the Snow Cheese sports the white and silver option. The Salty Lemon flavor showcases the Lemongrass look. And lastly, the sleek-looking Obsidian Pepper variant teased the black option.
