Back in May, Pocket-Lint spotted that there were several rumors which pointed out that Google might drop a new foldable gadget. At that time, the said product was mentioned to be in development.

A group of developers stumbled upon a code on the Android Open Source Project. Inside this, they found out that the search engine giant used C10 (Cheetah) and P10 (Panther), which serve as the code names for Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7, respectively.

In the same report, another pair of cat-related nicknames were unearthed: Lynx and Felix. The tech publication assumed this might be the new flippable Pixel and the Pixel 7a phone.

Felix Might be the Next Foldable to Launch

Recently, a developer named Kuba Wojciechowski reportedly came across a code located on the Android QPR1 Beta 1. He noted some interesting findings on his discovery on Twitter.

According to his latest tweet, the codenames "felix" and "lynx" happened to surface on the codes, yet they were still unavailable in the release notes.

Wojciechowski wrote that the Felix device could arrive as a newly-released foldable handset. He said that this smartphone would have inner and outer cameras, as well as the hardware abstraction layer or HAL. The developer also said there's a Sony IMX787 main sensor, per XDA Developers.

Meanwhile, the telephoto and the ultra-wide lens sport Sony IMX386 sensor and Samsung S5K3J1 sensor. The Sony IMX3 55, on the other hand, will be used in the front-face shooter.

High-End Pixel Handset as Lynx

The lynx device, according to Kuba, could come as an "ultra high-end Pixel" smartphone. The previous leak only indicated that this would only launch as Pixel 7 Pro.

This device is allegedly coming with a pair of Sony IMX712 sensors for its bi-camera setup.

Other than that, the developer also mentioned that there's a "T6Pro" code known as "tangorpro." Although there's only a bit of information about this device, it could be the next high-end Android tablet to be released in the future.

It should be noted that everyone should treat these as rumors. It's important to take them with a grain of salt until there's no official confirmation from Google.

In other news, Tech Times reported that the new iPhone 14 handset is now available in Russia. Amid the tension between this country and Ukraine, the Cupertino giant is making this accessible to millions of affected users.

As of press time, MTS, a Russian mobile service provider, has rolled out the pre-orders for the newest handset on Sept. 8.

According to the mobile carrier, it could take up to 120 days for the users to receive the smartphones. The standard iPhone 14 model will cost 84,990 roubles or $1,398.
