The newest educational feature on Youtube has come.

YouTube has brought new products to help creators and learners on their educational journey.

With the arrival of Player for Education, the video-viewing platform will flash more education-related content on the apps.

What's better is that you can see them with no interruptions. In short, it's ad-free, and there are no dangling links that you might carelessly click upon opening these clips.

According to an article by The Verge, YouTube has partnered with several edtech firms such as Purdue Global, EDpuzzle, and Purdue University in the United States to launch this new product.

To bring a better user experience, the company is making sure that many improvements will come to the embedded player soon, especially in the Google Classroom.

"Every day, teachers, and students across the globe are using YouTube to learn, and YouTube Player for Education will help further learning in educational settings by allowing students to engage with new subjects distraction-free," Edpuzzle CEO Quim Sabria said.

Improvement in Learning Interaction

In an official blog post by YouTube posted on Thursday, Sept. 8, the company wrote that free and paid courses are arriving soon on the platform thanks to the qualified creators who will be chosen to offer them.

For reference, you can imagine how this works through Coursera, Udemy, and other online course providers. Of course, since it's only at an early stage at the time, YouTube will roll it out first to select beta viewers from the US and South Korea.

Per Jess Chan, the creator behind Coder Coder, a YouTube channel focused on giving tips to aspiring developers, getting used to a new skill might be difficult for someone who does not know where to begin.

Apparently, you might easily get lost in learning, especially if there are no guides on your progress. It's either you figure out the problem by yourself or fail to digest the learning in the content.

Upon seeing this problem, she created Coder Coder to extend help to those people who want to learn coding in the easiest and most fun way. Chan said she has already helped millions of viewers who have watched her free YouTube courses.

Quizzes For the Viewers

After the creators, it's time to discuss the part of the viewers/learners. The blog also mentioned that another feature would soon be available to the audience.

The so-called Quizzes will serve as a testing ground for students and other learners. It is expected that this will arrive in the next few months. This will be useful to educational communities all over the world.

Inside Quizzes, you will find a series of tests that will challenge your knowledge and mastery of a certain topic. A creator will be free to give you some questions to see if you already know the concepts that you watched in the previous videos.
