Meta finally removed the Instagram account that parodied Anthony Fauci from its popular online photo platform.
This happened while the U.S. government was accused of secretly cooperating with the social media giants, such as Meta, Twitter, and YouTube.
For the past few years, Facebook and Instagram platforms have been very strict when it comes to parody profiles.
Both of these online websites have been making efforts to prevent the creation of fake accounts, especially those using the identities of real people.
But, it seems like Meta has removed the fake Instagram account pretending to be Fauci at the wrong time.
Fauci Parody Instagram Account Finally Removed
According to the New York Post's latest report, newly leaked emails, which were acquired by some Republican-run states, revealed by the U.S.government asked Meta to remove the fake Fauci IG account.

The email specifically came from Clarke Humphrey, the White House digital director of the COVID-19 response team.
"Hi there - anyway we can get this pulled down? It is not actually ours," said the U.S. official.
In his email message, the link for the fake Fauci IG account was also included. This issue is big since the U.S. administration allegedly colludes with social media giants.
Missouri and Louisiana attorneys even filed a lawsuit against U.S. President Joe Biden, claiming that they are censoring free speech to combat misinformation.
U.S. Government Colluding With Social Media Giants?
Missouri Atty. Eric Schmitt's official website confirmed that a lawsuit was filed against the Biden Administration back on May 5.
In their legal action, they included U.S. President Biden, Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and other officials.
They claimed that the government is suppressing the freedom of speech of American residents by colluding with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media platforms.

Meanwhile, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was criticized after he posted his metaverse selfie.
On the other hand, the Google Play Store still hasn't accepted the arrival of the Truth Social app because of some policy violations.
