Znera Space, an architecture company has some ambitious plans for Dubai. The company has developed a design for a high-rise building that surrounds the Burj Khalifa, according to designboom.
The Suspended Building
The high-rise building would be 550 meters tall with a 3,000 meter circumference. It can serve as an urban and natural landmark for the UAE. The design shows that the building will feature residential, public, and commercial spaces. It is also shown that the building will have a green Skygarden.
The structure will be supported by five vertical beams, and it will be sustainable. There are two rings that are held together by a continuous green suspended belt, which is called the Skypark. The Skypark will provide residents and visitors with fresh air, natural light, and panoramic views of the city.
On another note, it will also have five levels that will be divided into smaller units. The units will be separated into public, residential, commercial, and cultural areas. Lavish greenery and open spaces will also adorn the space for the ultimate experience.
There will be research centers, officers, cultural spaces, and even a 3D green ecosystem that will serve as the lung of the ring, which will bring in oxygen to the area.
The green area will feature sandy dunes, swamps, canyons, digital caves, waterfalls and. tropical vegetation. With this, it will also be a sanctuary for wild plants, and become a place where people can cultivate and produce food. There will also be machines that specialize in rainwater harvesting, along with solar power stations. The advanced systems here will be capable of storing CO2; at the same time, it will filter air pollutants for better air quality.

There are no details yet as to when this structure will be built, or if it will ever be built. However, the design concept is exciting and has many people dreaming of a future that is advanced while still, sustainable.
The design is in response UAE's increasingly dense urban fabric. With it, it can bring all types of properties all in one area with enough space for natural habitats.
