"Pokemon Scarlet and Violet" will soon have a new region called Paldea. The game's developer, Nintendo, announced this new in-game enhancement via its official "Scarlet and Violet" website.
"Get ready to have heated Pokemon battles with the new partners you meet in the Paldea region!" said the video game firm.
The company added that this new content would be launched this coming Aug. 18. Now, before you get excited about the new Paldea region, here are the things you need to know about it.
'Pokemon Scarlet and Violet' Paldea
Games Radar explained that the new Paldea region is based in Spain.

This detail was confirmed by experts after the new trailer for this place announced that players will be attending the Naranja and Uva Academy.
They stated that the names of these two educational institutions are Spanish words. Of course, since pocket-monsters will be living with the players in the Paldea region, they are required to adapt.
This means that their appearances, abilities, types, and movesets will change, allowing them to survive in the Paldea region.
For example, many Pokemon are expected to have the ability called "Terrastelize," which allows them to cover themselves in crystals.
Thanks to this special ability, pocket-monsters will be able to enhance their types, as well as their movesets. Here are some of the top Paldean forms that should arrive in "Scarlet and Violet" this coming Aug. 14.
Top Paldean Forms That Should Arrive
According to CBR's latest report, many pocket monsters will definitely receive their own Paldean forms once the new region is released.
One of them is Wooper, making it a dual Poison-Ground type Pokemon.
However, game critics claimed that there are other characters that are more deserving of receiving the new Paldean form.
Here are some of them:
Seel
It's been a long time since this cute little monk seal received a new look. Now, if ever this popular character received its Paldean form, it can have a better look and more efficient abilities. It can even be an Ice-Ground dual type.
Tangela
Tangela is another underrated Pokemon in "Scarlet and Violet." If ever it receives its own Paldean form, it can become a Grass-Electric type, which will certainly excite many gamers.
Ekans
Since the Paldea region is based on Spain, this means that there will be lots of snake species in the area. Many critics said that Ekans could be among the pocket-monsters that will have the Paldean form.
Aside from the three characters above, here are other Pokemon that are expected to have their new forms in the Paldea region:
- Picasso Paldean form
- Vullaby Paldean form
- Bidoof Paldean form
