As per a recent report by ZDNET, the original Apple iPhone, which Steve Jobs debuted last January 2007, still has an unopened unit that looks all pristine thanks to its plastic seal.
The first-generation iPhone was a game changer in the world of mobile devices as it launched with a touchscreen LCD and a 2-megapixel rear camera. Not to mention that its software already comes with a web browser and brings visual voicemail to its users.

Apple's iPhone is unveiled at a press conference in central London, 18 September 2007.
Several years after its much-awaited launch, the first-ever iPhone now has dated specs when compared to smartphone offerings these days.
However, an unopened unit of the original Apple phone recently sold for a whopping $35,414 at an auction of various rare products from the Cupertino-based tech giant and Steve Jobs memorabilia.
ZDNet notes in its report that the iPhone at the auction comes with 8 GB of internal storage, which hit the shelves way back in 2007 to the tune of $599.

According to a news story by Apple Insider, the original iPod, which still comes with its plastic seal and box, fetched a whopping $25,000 in the same auction.

The renowned tech giant introduced the first-ever iPod in 2001, back when MP3 players like Sony's Walkman were a massive hit. During this time, streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music have yet to be a thing.
