Nintendo Switch Online's new N64 update, which carries version number 2.6.0 has started rolling out to millions of users.
While the Japanese gaming giant never sends out any release patch notes for these kinds of releases, Nintendo data miners are here to the rescue.
And as such, we got a glimpse of what's new with the latest version of Nintendo 64 on the Switch Online subscription service.
It includes a few new additions and some refinements to improve the overall experience for Switch Online gamers.
Nintendo Switch Online N64 Update
As per a news story by Nintendo Life, the new version of N64 for Switch Online subscription service is finally released to owners of Nintendo Switch, Switch Lite, and the newest Switch OLED.
The latest N64 brings tons of minor changes, but it still brings a new classical gaming title that Switch Online members could enjoy.
A Nintendo data miner that goes by the name Oatmeal Dome discloses some of the changes in the new version 2.6.0 of N64.
That said, even if Nintendo failed to officially provide a release note, which should detail what's new in the latest update, we still have information regarding the new additions and improvements.
What's New in N64 Version 2.6.0
Without any further ado, as per a report by Oatmeal Dome on Twitter, the latest update brought a few refinements to "Pokemon Puzzle League."
The said Pokemon gaming title arrived at Switch Online last month. And now, the latest version of the N64 update brings a couple of fixes for the Pokemon Puzzle League.
The new release adjusted the renderer settings of the PAL French, German and NTSC versions of the said gaming title.
Besides that, the latest update removes the settings for the color frame buffer.
Meanwhile, another data miner who carries the moniker Luigi Blood gave more explicit details regarding the new version 2.6.0.
Luigi Blood says that the custom Robo V2 has now updated both the NRO and PCB.
Wave Race 64 on Switch Online
But on top of these minor fixes, the new N64 update for Switch Online also brings a new classical gaming title, which follows the arrival of the Pokemon Puzzle League.
Meanwhile, Luigi Blood says that the update in Japan interestingly removed all of the Fanta advertisements within Wave 64.
And in lieu of the promotions of the fruit-flavored soda, Nintendo replaced all these ads with an N64 logo.
