More information on the cutting-edge artificial intelligence robots developed by Elon Musk's business is now public, giving Tesla customers a clear picture of what life will be like on Earth in the following decades, as reported by news.com.au.
The Tesla Bot, about 172 cm tall, seeks to gradually free up regular people brave enough to adopt a robot from "boring" duties.
Replacing People In Boring Tasks
The richest person in the world has previously stated that humans must be ready to coexist with artificial intelligence, saying that recognizing this one simple truth will determine how we live in the future.
"Tesla Bots are initially positioned to replace people in repetitive, boring, and dangerous tasks. But the vision is for them to serve millions of households, such as cooking, mowing lawns, and caring for the elderly," Musk said in an essay published in China Cyberspace magazine.
Musk is well renowned for revealing launch dates that are oftentimes delayed. In fact, he has spent years delaying the time when Tesla's self-driving cars will completely replace human drivers.
Musk stated that the robot, code-named "Optimus," will utilize the same chips and sensors as Tesla's so-called Autopilot software in 2021. This program has been under significant criticism from federal regulators and legislators.
According to the billionaire, the robot will be able to lift 150 pounds (68 kg) and carry 45 pounds (20.4 kg), and it will be able to run 5 miles (8 km) per hour.
Musk claimed that artificial intelligence would "learn" and adapt at startlingly quick rates. He has compared the potential power of an all-pervasive AI to that of a "god" in the past.
He claimed that if his company can manage mass manufacturing, the Tesla Bot prototype should be available by the year's end.

'Home Robot May Be Cheaper Than A Car'
"Thereafter, humanoid robots' usefulness will increase yearly as production scales up and costs fall. In the future, a home robot may be cheaper than a car. Perhaps in less than a decade, people will be able to buy a robot for their parents as a birthday gift," Musk said.
Life Wire previously reported the EV manufacturer plans to introduce the new Tesla Optimus machine in September. According to certain sources, the prototype will arrive specifically on September 30.
However, this will still depend on any problems the company may experience during that period. The cost estimates for the humanoid machine from critics have still not been made public.
Nevertheless, some of them think that buying one will save you thousands of dollars. This will continue to depend on Tesla, and Optimus will come in various forms.
