Recently, rumors about Elon Musk's private airport in Texas suddenly circulated on the internet.
Well, this is not really impossible since Musk is among the top billionaires across the globe. He can actually have a private airport easily, if he wanted to.
Based on the speculations, the alleged private airport will be used to service the operations of Texas-based Tesla, SpaceX, as well as the Boring Company factories.
Of course, many fans were excited after hearing the news as it can further expand Musk's companies in Texas. But, the billionaire clarified things now. Here's what he said.
Elon Musk's Texas Private Airport Update
According to Business Insider's latest report, Elon said that the alleged private airport is not true. The popular tech CEO clarified the rumors about this landing strip on Thursday, Aug. 4.

"Tesla is 5 mins from Austin International airport," said the billionaire via his official Twitter account.
He added that constructing another private airport in Texas is really a silly idea. But, he said that the existing AUS (Austin-Bergstrom International Airport) needs to be enhanced.
His suggestion is to add another runway to the commercial airport. Elon explained that this is needed since Austin is growing fast.
Musk's latest statement about the rumored private airport generated more than 26,000 likes and 1,300 quote retweets.
Why a Private Airport May Help Elon Musk?
A private airport would be a really great help since it can further assist the growth of Elon Musk's factories in Texas. However, the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is already servicing the billionaire's companies.
On the other hand, the Austin Executive Airport, which is located in the north, is also servicing the Tesla Gigafactory Texas.
As of writing, Austin's tech industry is now further growing as more companies build their own factories in the area.
In 2020, Elon Musk's Boring Company decided to purchase a plot of industrial land in Pflugerville. On the other hand, the tech firm also plans to build a tunneling test site in Bastrop.
