FVR is among the presidents that were able to attract lots of renewed investments from other countries, allowing the Asian nation to enhance its technologies and scientific innovations.

The Manila Times reported that Ramos' era (1992 to 1998) was the period when the Philippines was dubbed the "tiger economy."

Before he became the 12th Philippine president, he worked as a military man.

With his performance, he was able to become the chief of the Philippine Constabulary during the time of former Philippine President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.

After that, he became the chief of staff of AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines). Aside from this, he also became one of the heroes of the 1986 People Power Revolution.

Because of his personal achievements, President Bongbong Marcos Jr. said that FVR's legacy would be cherished and remembered by many Filipinos.

Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte also grieved the death of Ramos, saying the contributions of the deceased Filipino leader should be honored.

FVR's Science, Tech Contributions

During the period of Fidel Ramos, he was able to establish the so-called STAND (Science and Technology Agenda for National Development).

On the other hand, during his 1992 SONA (State of the Nation Address), he proposed making a law that will create a reliable department of energy.

Because of his initiative, Congress decided to grant him his emergency power to solve the country's energy crisis. Aside from this, he is also the one who signed the Republic Act No. 8439 (Magna Carta for Science and Technology Personnel).

FFTC Agricultural Policy Platform explained that this law recognizes the role of science and technology in maintaining or improving economic growth.

Thanks to this, schools were modernized using advanced equipment for teachers and students. These are just some of the science and tech contributions of Fidel V. Ramos.
