How to Enable AirPlay on Roku
To be able to enable AirPlay on your Roku TV, go to the Roku Home screen and choose Settings. Next, move to and open Apple AirPlay and HomeKit, according to Business Insider.
When you see the display, select AirPlay on the top right so it shows that it is On. Keep the below items in mind so you can use AirPlay from your Apple device to your Roku device.
First, your Roku and Apple device needs to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Then, you must be Roku OS 9.4 or higher to use AirPlay 2.

Enable AirPlay From iPhone or iPad to Roku
You can AirPlay from an app or the Control Center on our Apple device depending on what you want to share. At most times, you will see the AirPlay option in the Share Sheet or in the app's toolbar.
You can AirPlay pictures from an album in Photos and choose the picture and select the Share button on the bottom left. Choose AirPlay and choose your Roku device in the list.
You will see your photo pop up on the screen and from there, you can swipe through the album to see the other pictures on your Roku TV.
When you finish, just the AirPlay icon on the top right of the picture on iPhone which is highlighted. Choose the "Turn Off AirPlay" option.
For you to be able to share music from the Control Center, just swipe to open it. Tap the AirPlay icon in the Music widget and choose your Roku device from the list.
You will hear the song on your TV and you can control its playback through your Apple device.
Once you're done, open Control Center and choose the AirPlay icon in the music widget again. You will notice that it is highlighted. Select your Apple device from the list to return the song to the device.
Enable AirPlay From Mac to Roku
On Mac, the AirPlay button for the content that you wish to send to Roku can depend on the app that you are using. Sometimes, you will find it in the toolbar, or under the Share menu. For some items, like music, you can use your Mac's Control Center.
If you have a show in the TV app, choose the AirPlay icon on the bottom left of the window and select your Roku TV from the list.
You should be able to see the show play on your TV and control the playback from your Apple device.
