More technology has been developed to cater to the changing needs that were brought by the pandemic, which made remote work and contactless delivery more popular than ever.
With a remote control automobile, one man in Singapore has advanced contactless delivery by using it to make grocery purchases!
Steve Ho (@puangster) chose to showcase his little assistant on TikTok, a white remote-controlled car 4x4 that appears to be based on a Jeep Wrangler and comes complete with a basket in tow, reported first by Mashable.
Ingenious Way
Steve may have been feeling a little too exhausted to leave home, but that doesn't mean that he needs food. Hence, he created an ingenious way of addressing his needs!
Several cameras were set up on the rig so he could also observe his surroundings. However, the fact that the car has a speaker and microphone system that enables him to speak with retail and restaurant staff is even more astounding since it makes him present in the scene, albeit through the speakers.
Steve drives his remote control car to the convenience shop to get a bottle of Coke and some ice cream in the first video, demonstrating his outstanding and ingenious rig.

According to him, the car is a limitless range remote control car, and he uses it to go to the supermarket and buy night snacks.
The largest challenge he faces is obtaining the attention of the store staff, who appear to be preoccupied with other activities, despite the task appearing to be simple.
The rig doesn't have any robotic arms, which implies that he must rely on verbal exchanges to grab the attention of real people to put his desired goods in his basket.
Steve eventually received his Coke and ice cream after taking a long time to get the attention of the market's staff. Even though it is a tedious process, it is still better than leaving your house and walking towards the store to buy snacks.
In another video, Steve uses his remote-controlled car to illustrate how he gets his dinner with the help of some kind passerby and food court staff.
The trip was not exactly a breeze, just what happened to the convenience shop. But at the end of the evening, he can still enjoy a satisfying meal at home. Additionally, many people are drawn to the strange equipment, and some have even been observed interacting with it like it is a futuristic gadget.
