An upcoming 2023 Porsche Taycan is here to bring the latest to the German company's top electric vehicle release, focusing on new features, its latest hardware, and other latest inclusions on the car. However, these are not the only new things coming, as the company also focuses on a software update for all versions of the Taycan, including past vehicles.
2023 Porsche Taycan: What are the New Things Coming for the EV?
There is no 2023 Porsche Taycan release per se, but the new cars that will see manufacturing from late 2022 through 2023 will be the new electric vehicle from the company. According to Porsche Newsroom's latest release, there would be significant changes to its features and hardware that users would see in its latest production, different from its releases from 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Moreover, the main focus is its powertrain efficiency, which will translate for the electric vehicle's hardware and software technology. CNET reports that the 2023 version will debut the panoramic glass roof with Porsche's Variable Light Control electro-chromatic shade. It would also bring Porsche's Roof Transport System for cargo boxes and racks.
New Taycans would also have a wiring harness for Porsche Dashcam's installation. An update to its wheels would bring the Taycan S Aero 19-inch design.
Porsche Taycan Software Update for All Versions
However, the main highlight of this announcement is the software update that will come for all versions, with Porsche saying that updating it will bring the vehicle like the latest release from the company. It includes the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) and the Porsche Connect and assistance systems.
Moreover, it would update its powertrain systems, a feature that will help in saving mileage on its battery's range with as much as 31 miles more to boost its experience.
Porsche Taycan's Significance and Fame
Porsche's goal for 2030 is to turn its production into 80 percent electric vehicles when the next decade comes, and it will line up with the world's plans for the coming transition to clean energy. One of the earliest fully electric vehicles from the company's lineup is the Porsche Taycan, which brings the start of something new for the famous manufacturer.
In 2021, the Porsche Taycan already beat the company's other internal combustion engine cars in terms of sales, which says a lot for the world's focus on EVs. It also shows how the Porsche Taycan is one of the most famous EVs in the market now, lining up against top rivals, including Tesla's Model S, General Motors, Ford, and more.
Now, there is an update that the German automotive company is bringing to the world, with the brand new 2023 Porsche Taycan that will debut soon for everyone. Nevertheless, it does not leave the past releases behind for the company and focuses on the latest software update available for all users of the Taycan.
