SpaceX and the Starship mission met an unfortunate roadblock, rather an air block, that prevented it from continuing its focus on the spacecraft. The recent explosion that the Super Heavy Booster rocket experienced where its Raptor engines met an unfortunate event while the company was firing it up last Monday.
Elon Musk said that it suffered minor damages only, with a possible orbital flight as early as next month.
SpaceX Starship: Elon Musk Says Booster Saw Minor Damages
SpaceX's Starship was on a test mission when the Booster 7, made up of Raptor engines, exploded and was caught on a live stream from NASA Spaceflight. Of course, this is not one sight to see, but Elon Musk assures the public that the booster only saw minor damages on its rockets, and it is something that would be a quick fix for the mission.
The tech CEO said that he inspected what happened in the launch and went to the Starship site yesterday to see the damages for himself. Here, he was taken up to the rocket's base, where he saw the Booster 7, which exploded last Monday on its test fire launch.
Musk further said that all engines need inspection from the company.
Starship Orbital Flight to Take Place Next Month
Musk and SpaceX are still testing the Starship's capabilities on its test runs and launches, and it would help the public know if the spacecraft is truly capable of future flights. Now, Musk got a question regarding the upcoming schedule of the orbital test flight, and the top billionaire answered that it would take place immediately next month if "testing goes well."
Elon Musk and the Starship
Elon Musk and SpaceX's goal is to create more than 1,000 Starship rockets in the company for its future use in the world as the vessel that would bring humans to different places in space. Its goal is to bring the multi-planetary venture to humans, and it would ensure that everyone will have the chance to fulfill their space dreams.
Everything that Musk and the private space company brought for the world to see on the Starship's venture is what it uses now for the testing that would ensure its use and capabilities. One of the most prominent features of the Starship is the "Mechazilla," or the catch and launch tower that would hold together the entire stack of the company.
SpaceX is more than capable of undergoing its current missions in the space industry, but the only other hindrance it faces is the Booster 7, which exploded in the past days when it tested the features. For now, SpaceX has to fix it for future use, and it is a venture toward the orbital test flights for the Starship spacecraft.
