Nerf is launching a rocket launcher taken out of the popular game "Destiny" as a 1:1 scale replicate to show gamers how the gun feels in real life. The challenging thing about this weapon is that players will have to unlock it via a special quest in "Destiny 2."
Pre-Orders for the Nerf LMTD Destiny Gjallarhorn Blaster Come With a Catch
According to the story by PCMag, pre-orders for the Nerf LMTD Destiny Gjallarhorn Blaster but only when players complete an in-game quest. To make things more complicated, players will have to complete a special quest before July 7.
As per Destinypedia, the Gjallarhorn was initially debuted on the original "Destiny" game. When the weapon launched, it was referred to as "often seen as one of the most overpowered weapons ever used."
The History of the Famed Rocket Launcher
Although "Destiny 2" referenced the rocket launcher, it was not yet available to gamers until December 2021 during the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack. A video of the rocket launcher was also uploaded to YouTube to show how big the rocket is and what it looks like in real life.
Replica is Designed to be a 1:1 Scale of the In-Game Weapon
With Nerf's new offering, the infamous Gjallarhorn is finally coming to reality. As per Bungie, the replica is designed to be a 1:1 scale of the in-game weapon and include sculpted details that are closely copied from the original version.
To make things more exciting, the Nerf rocket launcher measures four feet long or 1.22 meters. As per Bungie, on top of the look of the overpowering launcher, the Nerf LMTD Gjallarhorn blaster is going to include its first-ever Nerf Mega dart shells.
Rocket Launcher Holds 3 Nerf Mega Darts and Fires 3 at a Time
The rocket launcher holds 3 Nerf Mega darts and is capable of firing 3 darts at a time. The rocket launcher itself ships out with three shells and nine darts meaning buyers might still have to buy extra bullets if they are planning to launch a full-on Nerf war.
Bungie is also limiting the pre-orders to those faithful players that have been able to earn the in-game weapon until July 21. This means that in order to be able to buy the Nerf gun in real-life, players will have to first be able to unlock the Gjallarhorn Blaster in-game before they can purchase the real-life rocket launcher.

Buyers Will have to Wait Until the First Quarter of 2023 to Get the Nerf Weapon
The Nerf LMTD Gjallarhorn Blaster will be sold for $185 and even includes an exclusive "A Distant Howl" emblem along with the "Gjallarform" ornament for Destiny 2. Sadly, gamers won't be able to get the rocket launcher in real life that soon.
Despite pre-orders being available, the rocket launcher is expected to be shipped to pre-order customers until next year. The rocket launcher is estimated to be delivered during the first quarter of 2023.
