The iOS 16 beta is now accessible to select testers. With the upcoming operating system transitioning, Apple has brought a new feature for the iOS Lock Screen.
The Cupertino tech firm decided to deliver the depth effect that works best with pictures of people you have taken from your Photo library. This option can give a new "depth effect" to the subject.
How to Disable the Depth Effect on iOS Lock Screen
Although the feature is appealing to other users because they can see their photos in Portrait mode, it does not work that way with some people, Macrumors stated.
The images share a similar style with the photos that we usually see on the Apple Watch. However, some people find it redundant on the screen. That's why there's a need to deactivate the depth effect.
- First, open your iPhone using TouchID or FaceID.
- Then, access the wallpaper gallery by pressing and holding on to the Lock Screen.
- After doing this, swipe to activate the depth effect on the Lock Screen Wallpaper.
- Click Customize.
- From the bottom-right corner of your screen, click the three-circled dots or the icon with an ellipsis.
- Uncheck the Depth Effect after.
- Once you're done doing this, just click Done in the top-right corner.
- If you want to revert it to the original state, just re-click the wallpaper to see the changes.
