Elon Musk finally reached 100 million Twitter followers. This means he is now the 6th individual on the social media platform to achieve this number of followers.
As of writing, the former U.S. President Barack Obama still has the most number of followers on Twitter, with over 132 million.
He is followed by Justine Bieber (with over 114 million) and Katy Perry (with over 108 million). Meanwhile, Elon Musk has around 100.2 million Twitter followers, making him the fifth most-followed Twitter user.
Elon Musk Now Has 100 Million Twitter Followers!
According to Mashable's latest report, Elon Musk is popular on Twitter since he is quite active. He commonly posts his rants and other opinions on social media platforms.
However, some Twitter users noticed that he has been quite inactive on the online platform. If you will visit his official Twitter account, his last tweet was on June 21.
His latest Twitter post is about the issue with Dish Network's 120Ghz band.
"If they are successful, it would hurt the least served and completely unserved of the world. Very messed up," said the billionaire via his official Twitter account.
While some of his fans are worried about him being inactive on Twitter, other individuals said that he is focusing on Tesla and SpaceX.
This is already given since the giant automaker is expanding the Gigafactory Texas. Meanwhile, SpaceX is preparing for more commercial spaceflights.
Are Elon Musk's Followers Bots?
It is hard to conclude that the 100 million followers of Musk also consist of bots. But, The Verge reported that the issue of fake accounts on the social media platform is still worsening.
Previously, Twitter said that only 5% of the user accounts are bots or fake. However, Musk himself claimed that the fake accounts are more compared to the recent statistics provided by the social media giant.
Meanwhile, some experts are worried that the bot issue can affect Elon Musk's Twitter deal.
On the other hand, during the recent Twitter townhall meeting, Elon Musk said that excellent employees could work remotely.
