Square Enix to Launch 'Harvestella'—A Stardew Valley-Like Farming Simulator in Final Fantasy Style

Square Enix is launching a new game that incorporates the "Final Fantasy" style into a new farming simulator game called "Harvestella." The game takes players around the classic "Stardew Valley" or "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" format where they can experience their new farming-gathering adventure.

Square Enix New Game is Called 'Harvestella'

According to the story by the Hype Beast, for those that have enjoyed playing either the "Stardew Valley" or the "Animal Crossing: New Horizons," the new game by Square Enix will allow them to find their next farming-gathering adventure.

Square Enix has just announced the "Harvestella" and dropped a trailer on YouTube showing what players might expect from the game. The trailer shows how magic is incorporated into the farming element with an option for players to travel the world and meet new people.

Trailer Reveals Players Battling Monsters, Farm, and More

As seen in the trailer, players will also be able to battle monsters, farm, and do a lot more within the game. With the mixture of magic and farming, players will be greeted with a unique game that could also have its own unique story.

Hype Beast notes that the upcoming title will bring players into a fantastical world that holds a lot of similarities to Square Enix's popular "Final Fantasy" franchise. The game is said to include a lot of magical elements wherein players can interact with.

Players Get to Own Pets and Practice Their Fishing

On top of the regular farming process, which involves tilling the land, sowing seeds, and watering crops, players will also be able to collect items to craft or cook with. The article notes that players will also be able to own pets and can practice their fishing or fight off monsters.

Players will also be able to venture through the jungle in search of better loot. The game will also include a world map that players can use to travel to different towns or regions each with its own unique traits and residents.

'Harvestella' New Jobs Include Mage, Fighter, or Shadow Walker

The game might be too easy if everything ran smoothly which is why Square Enix also added a seasonal cycle to make things a bit more interesting. The game is expected to launch on Nintendo Switch and PC via stream.

Players will be able to embark on the new fantasy farming-gathering-fighting adventure on November 4 when "Harvestella" launches. More details regarding the game are reportedly available on the Square Enix website.
