According to a story from Macrumors on Wednesday, June 22, the CarPlay support is guaranteed to come to Polestar 2 soon. The smartphone integration system is what Apple boasts for its in-car infotainment system.

Android Automotive powers this feature. It should be noted that it's not the same as the Android Auto we usually hear when talking about Google.

"Apple CarPlay is now available! It's rolling out in the new software update, incrementally, in batches Over-the-Air. It's also available now for installation at our workshops," Polestar posted on Twitter.

As of writing, the Volvo-backed firm has not yet announced the exact date of the rollout completion. For now, the CarPlay support has been a huge addition to modern EVs.

More than 600 models of electric vehicles are reportedly using this smart system. As such, the biggest names in the auto industry, including Tesla and Lucid Motors, are relying on this in-car technology.

The upcoming over-the-air update for Apple CarPlay is expected to bring exciting features that Polestar owners need to explore. With that being said, they could soon utilize many apps on their iPhone and take advantage of what Siri can offer.

In early June, the Cupertino tech giant introduced CarPlay on its newest and next-gen version. The improvement directly integrates the car's fuel gauge and climate controls. Besides that, Apple mentioned that it would soon bring multiple display support for the EVs.

Speaking of this integration system, the iPhone maker said that the CarPlay feature will roll out in late 2023 to the first car models. Many auto companies have agreed to adopt this technology, such as Nissan, Honda, Jaguar, Ford, Acura, Mercedes-Benz, and more.

Polestar is Entering Nasdaq Listing

On its business side, Polestar is reportedly going public on the Nasdaq platform. The company will operate under the "PSNY" ticker symbol starting Thursday, June 24.

As per an analyst who knows Polestar's plans, the company has a lot of potentials to grow because of its continuous innovation in the market. This is the reason why many investors are lured to put their money into it.

The first time that Polestar hinted at entering Nasdaq was in September 2021. At the time, the automaker had been planning to enter the investment with Gores Guggenheim in the following year.

The company managed to raise $800 million for its IPO (initial public offering). In PIPE (Private Investment in Public Equity), it made $250 million.

The estimated value of Polestar, after being listed on Nasdaq, sitting at around $20 billion.
