If you're one of those people who want to get Nothing's upcoming first-gen phone, there will be a new auction for that. According to XDA Developers, the Carl Pei-founded firm has partnered with StockX to make the bidding event possible.

The first 100 units of Nothing Phone 1 will be given away before July.

Ahead of the official debut of the trending smartphone, it should be noted that the auction will start at 9:00 PM ET next Tuesday, June 21. It will reportedly end on Thursday, June 23, at around 9:00 ET.

Since this is still on a hype train, many people want to obtain this elusive and limited-edition handheld. However, to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime event, you first need to make an official account at StockX.

Once you're done creating a StockX account, you can now begin placing your bid on the DropX product page. Just go there once the schedule of the auction takes place next week.

Another thing is that those chosen within the top 100 will be charged. Those lucky bidders who will get this Nothing Phone 1 should receive this model within more than a month or exactly 35 days.

Unfortunately, there are limitations when it comes to participants. According to the company, those people who reside in South Korea and Mexico won't be able to participate in the auction.

Nothing Phone 1's Shining Back Panel

For the first time, the newest Nothing handset was seen to be exhibiting its "illuminating back panel" in a video. The clip was taken from a Switzerland-based event.

According to Android Central, the Nothing Phone 1 sports a very mesmerizing feature about its rear display. Before you see its flashy characteristic, you will first witness its camera module that's out of this world.

As of writing, Nothing has yet revealed the real purpose of the glowing back panel. It's possible that it could be used as a notification LED.

Speaking of LEDs, the clip involving the Nothing phone features a white light. We are still uncertain if it can also display other color options that will complement the apps.

For Pei, the design for the handset is quite "polarizing." He confirmed that the company has been planning to launch it that way.

As per the recent podcast with the Nothing founder, Pei said that the firm is not aiming to be Samsung-like in terms of products. He instead continued that they were trying to create the "best product and best experience" out of the upcoming smartphone.
